About Us

About Heritage stone art

We are traditional Indian stone sculptors (Shilpakars) specializing in temple stone carving, marble murti design, and heritage sculpture work. Our creations are inspired by iconic Indian monuments such as the Ram Mandir and Konark Sun Temple, reflecting devotion, precision, and spiritual craftsmanship.
Every sculpture is handcrafted with patience, skill, and adherence to ancient Shilpa Shastra principles.

Meet Subrat Maharana

Master Stone Sculptor & Traditional Shilpakar

Born in a small village in Odisha, Subrat Maharana discovered his passion for art at a very young age. Growing up surrounded by traditional craftsmanship and temple culture, he developed a deep connection with stone sculpture and heritage architecture.

His formal journey into professional stone artistry began with two years of foundational training in traditional art forms in Balasore, followed by five years of advanced and intensive training at an art college in Bhubaneswar. This rigorous education helped him master both classical techniques and complex temple stone carving methods.

Since 1997, he has been fully dedicated to the craft of traditional Indian stone sculpture. Over the decades, he has worked on numerous large-scale projects across India, contributing to temple architecture, marble murti creation, and intricate heritage stone carvings.

Subrat Maharana is known for his calm nature, focused discipline, and deep devotion to craftsmanship. His work reflects patience, precision, and respect for ancient Shilpa Shastra traditions. Every sculpture he creates carries not only artistic excellence but also spiritual meaning.

His professional experience includes working on major projects nationwide and collaborating as an associate with Larsen & Toubro, contributing his expertise to large architectural and heritage developments.

Beyond sculpture, he enjoys cricket and believes that both art and sport require dedication, rhythm, and balance. His passion, hard work, and commitment to excellence continue to shape the identity of Heritage Stone Art.

Artistic Philosophy

Subrat Maharana believes that stone is not just a material — it is a living expression of tradition, devotion, and timeless beauty. His mission is to preserve India’s sacred architectural heritage through authentic, handcrafted stone sculpture that reflects both spiritual depth and artistic mastery.
